Jane G. Costner

Jane G. Costner of Lawndale NC, born Thelma Jane Gantt, passed away
peacefully on the afternoon of Friday, March 24th at her home, surrounded by
family. She was 78 years old. Born June 4th, 1938 in Shelby, she was the
daughter of the late
Evans Weathers Gantt and Thelma Lucille Spangler Gantt.

Jane had a full life. She was a loving sister to the late Patsy Gantt Shull
and the late
Jack Gantt, a devoted mother to her late daughter, Lynn Howell Vaughan and a
devoted wife to her late husband, N.F. "Butch" Costner. She also had a
special fondness and concern for all animals. Jane spent most of her days as
a homemaker but also once ran her own business, "Fallston Sales", and also
worked for several years at the Bogg's cotton gin company.

She is survived by her beloved family: Jackie, Dick, Vic, Brad, Douglas,
Alex, Anthony, Shirley, Amanda, Samantha, Evan, Will, TJ, Isabella, Kayden &
Jackson.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude for all of the love
and support given to Jane in her last days by the Cleveland County hospice
staff and especially
by Kim Ogle, along with Jane's son-in-law, Steve Vaughan, without whose
care she would not have been able to pass away at home as she wished. This
special
appreciation also goes out to Jane's extended family, the Costners, the
Spanglers and the Gantts.

Arrangements have been made through the The Stamey Funeral Home . There
will be no viewing or public services per her final requests. In lieu of
flowers, Jane would have appreciated charitable donations to either the
Humane Society or the ASPCA.

Though we will miss you greatly Jane, we will always be comforted by keeping
you in our hearts forever. As a special farewell, as she would say and only
her family understand, "Lets hit the rabbit!".
