Jane Sisk Cooke, 85, of Toney Road, Lawndale, passed away on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at Wendover Hospice House in Shelby.

Born January 13, 1941 in Cleveland County, she was a daughter of the late William "Bill" Nettles and Faye Toney Nettles. She was the owner and operator of Jane's Carpet and Furniture Warehouse and was the organist for 45 years at Double Shoals Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Stephen "Steve" Cooke.

She is survived by two sons, Tony Cooke (Tiffany Warlick) of Lawndale and Greg Cooke (Crystal Ball) of Lawndale; two grandchildren, Katie Cooke and Kelley Cooke Patterson (William) and great-grandchildren, Chance Patterson, Niko Patterson and Azurae Jane Patterson.

The family will receive friends on Friday, February 20, 2026 from 2:00pm to 3:00pm at Double Shoals Baptist Church.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, February 20, 2026 at 3:00pm with Dr. Brian Johnson officiating.

Burial will follow in Double Shoals Baptist Church Cemetery.
