Mrs. Janet Blanton Adams, 63, of Shelby, passed away on October 30, 2012
at Kings Mountain Hospice House. She was a member of Flint Hill Baptist
Church. She enjoyed camping in Maggie Valley, knitting, collecting baby
dolls and cooking.
She was the daughter of the late Grady C. Blanton & and Annie Pearson Blanton.
She was also preceded in death by her twin sister, Janice Powell, sister,
Becky Sue Wells, and two brothers, Roy Dean & Freddie Blanton.
She is survived by three brothers, Gene Blanton of Boiling Springs, Wayne “Don”
Blanton of Morganton, Ronnie Lee Blanton of Mooresboro; three sisters,
Velma Aarsund of Brevard, Joyce White of Polkville, and Patricia Ann Ellis of
Gaffney, SC. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation: The family will receive friends at Cleveland Funeral Services &
Crematory, Friday, 1:00 – 2:00 pm
Funeral: The funeral will follow in Cleveland Funeral Services Chapel at 2 pm
Officiating: Rev. Keith Dixon & Rev. Shane Kirby
Burial: Cleveland Memorial Park
