Janice Lee Ivie Wright, 64, of Shelby, died at Atrium Health Cleveland on Friday, January 30, 2026. A native of Cleveland County, she was a daughter of the late Jack Billy Ivie and Jennie Louise Borders Ivie.

She spent most of her career working as a Registered Nurse at Atrium Health Cleveland, formerly Cleveland Regional. Janice graduated from Shelby High School and furthered her education at Isothermal Community College and Cleveland Community College where she received her nursing qualifications. She was a member of Patterson Springs Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Wright; a son, Jacob Wright; and a sister, Jacquie Johnson.

Survivors include two daughters, Heather Wright, and Ivie Wright (Wesley Nodine); five grandchildren, Gracin, Kyndall, Bentley, Brayden, and Kaysen; and two sisters, Debbie Cash (Jerome), and Donna Long (Dale).

The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Saturday, February 7, 2026 at Patterson Springs Baptist Church with Reverend Jerome Cash officiating the service. Interment will follow the service in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service at the church.
