Ms. Janice Marie Morgan, 72 of Shelby, NC passed away on Saturday, December 13, 2025 at Via Health Partners (formerly Wendover Hospice House) in Shelby. She is the daughter of the late Mac Daniel and Elizabeth Livsey Morgan. She was born on February 16, 1953 in Cleveland County, NC.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Kenneth Wayne Morgan; sister, Charlene Ross; special nephew, Derrick Hopper; and significant other, Leroy Vinson.

She leaves her cherished memories to her sister and caretaker, Doris Hopper (James) of Shelby; siblings, Mac Daniel Morgan, Jr.; Winfred Morgan, Andrew Morgan, all of Shelby, NC; and Shana Morgan of Charlotte, NC; special niece, Tammy Hopper; special great nephews, Kyle Young and Patrick Littlejohn; former sister in law, Yvonne Morgan; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, December 20, 2025 at Shoal Creek Baptist Church. Burial took place in the church cemetery.
