Kings Mountain - Mr. Jerry Michael "Mike" Beattie, 72, passed away on Sunday, October 26, 2025 at his residence.

Mike was born on March 7, 1953 in Cleveland County, NC a son of the late Datha Abram Beattie and Viola Morrison Beattie. He was retired from the textile industry. Mike was a member of Mary's Grove Community Church. He loved being outdoors and enjoyed fishing. Mike also loved his 1971 Chevelle.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters, Jane Reynolds and Gail Wood.

Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Ellen Harris Beattie of the home; a daughter, April Grigg; a son, Anthony Rickman all of Kings Mountain; five grandchildren, Haley, Lauren, Destiny, Anna and Katlyn; a great granddaughter, Kinsley; a sister, Kay Jones (Larry) and a brother, Larry Beattie (Lisa); father-in-law, Gene Harris of Bessemer City. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 12:45PM to 1:45PM on Thursday, October 30, 2025 at Mary's Grove Community Church.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on Thursday, October 30, 2025 at Mary's Grove Community Church with Pastor Renee Bingham officiating.

Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.
