Jimmy Greene, 70, of Shelby, North Carolina, passed away on May 7, 2024 at his home in Shelby, NC.

Born in Cleveland County, North Carolina, he was son of the late Richard and Leona McAbee Greene. Jimmy worked at Magnolia Finishing in Blacksburg, South Carolina for over 30 years before retiring. He loved going to auctions, assembling and flying model RC planes, and watching old Westerns. He was also an avid M&M collector. Jimmy was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was the type to give you the shirt off his back; he would come up with some way to help you out as much as he could. Jimmy will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him.

SURVIVORS: Wife of 50 years: Norma Morrison Greene of Shelby, North Carolina

Daughter: Deborah Bowen and partner, Mike Holliday, of Asheville, North Carolina

Granddaughters: Ashley Cole and husband, Carson, Kayla Bowen, Mackenzie Holliday, and Ryleigh Holliday

Great-grandsons: Brayden and Aiden Cole

Jimmy is also survived by two brothers and a sister.
