Mr. Joel Loyd Gantt, 77 of Gantt Road passed away Monday, August 3, 2015 at
Hospice at Wendover.

Born June 16, 1938 in Cleveland County, he was a son of the late Mary Helen
Goodman. He was owner and operator of Independent Forklift Service.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Frances Proctor Gantt; two
daughters, Laura Patterson and husband, Joey of Shelby and Lisa McWhirter
and husband, Mark of Vale; four grandchildren, Evan Dixon and wife, Sarah,
Ethan Dixon, Sydney Patterson and Eli Patterson; great-grandson, Carter
Dixon; brother, Don Smith of Morganton and honorary friend, Bobby "Bud"
Fraser.

Visitation: 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM, Wednesday, Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home &
Cremation Center, Inc., Fallston.

Graveside Service: 10:00 AM, Thursday, at Rose Hill Memorial Park, Fallston.
