Johnny Moore Black
Tuesday, November 4, 2014 9:28 am Johnny Moore Black, 73, of Gaffney, SC, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, November 2, 2014, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center, Spartanburg, SC. He was a son of the late Major John and Edna Dixon Black. He was a retired truck driver.
Left to cherish his memory are two daughters - Pamela Denise Jefferies and husband, Scott, and Dora Lynn Black all of Gaffney, SC; one son- Jonathan Leininger of Gaffney, SC; four grandchildren - Angela Black Logan and husband, Brad, of Gaffney, SC, Shane Gunnin and wife, Linda, Jeremy Dover, and Chelsea Dover Bolin and husband, Nick, all of Blacksburg, SC; six great-grandchildren - Chandler Logan, Brad Logan, Jr., Aiden Logan, Kristopher Gunnin, Blaine Bolin and Forrest Bolin; one sister - Betty Black Gilbert and husband, Bill, of North Myrtle Beach, SC; three brothers - Gary Black, Tony Black and wife, Margaret, all of Blacksburg, SC, and Dennis Black and wife, Vicky, of Grover, NC; and a host of nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one grandson - Kristopher Todd "Butch" Gunnin.
A Celebration Of Life Memorial Service will be held at Indian Hills Baptist Church, Gaffney, SC, 3:00 PM, Friday, November 7, 2014, with Rev. Mary Jefferies officiating. At other times, the family will be at 1173 West Rutledge Avenue, Gaffney, SC.
