Joseph Walter Edwards, 75, of 133 Acre Rock Rd., Lawndale, passed away
Tuesday July 12, 2016 at Peak Resources in Shelby.

Born October 27, 1940 in Rutherford County, he was a son of the late Furman
Lewis Edwards and Lona Mae Hudson Edwards. He was a retired truck driver and
served in the US Army.

Survivors include his wife of thirty five years, Rhonda Patricia Green
Edwards; three sons, Tim Edwards, David Edwards and Danny Edwards all of
Shelby; one daughter, Rachel Green of Lawndale; one brother, Raymond Lewis
Edwards of Mooresboro; one sister, Margaret Ann Hamilton of Shelby; seven
grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Visitation will be 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, Saturday at Way of the Cross Free
Will Baptist Church, Shelby

A memorial service will be 3:00 PM, Saturday at Way of the Cross Free Will
Baptist Church , Shelby with Jimmy Green and Pastor Buddy Morehead
officiating.

Burial will be private
