Joyce Norman Price, 79, of Lawndale, passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at her home.

Joyce was born on November 3, 1946, in Cleveland County, NC and was a daughter of the late Henry Cash Norman and Cecil Rebecca Proctor Norman. She was a retired personal care aid from Western Carolina Center, but even after retirement she still cared for the elderly in her community. She attended Providence Baptist Church for over thirty years. Joyce could also be found working in her flower garden and yard.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her daughter, Rita "Lynn" Price, a brother, Carroll Norman and a sister Margaret Lail

Joyce is survived by her husband of 60 years, Raymond C. Price; daughter, Tammy Price Hoyle of Crouse; two grandchildren, Caleb Hoyle and wife Reagan and Grace Hoyle and boyfriend Alex Rodriguez both of Crouse; six brothers, Don Norman, Arnold Norman, Steve Norman, Thad Norman, Rahn Norman, Russell Norman all of Vale and a sister, Jean Buff of Lawndale.

Joyce was known to many as "Granna", she touched many lives with her kindness, love and faith.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 4, 2026 from 12:30 pm to 1:45 pm at Laurel Hill United Methodist Church.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM at Laurel Hill United Methodist Church with David Shubert and Dr. Ernie Richards officiating.

Burial will follow at church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Via Health Partners, Lincoln County, 900 Donita Drive, Lincolnton, NC 28092 or the Hospice of your choice.
