Julia (Price) Howington, age 87, died peacefully on Saturday, January 30, 2016 at her home in Plymouth, North Carolina after a valiant fight with cancer. Born in Hollis (Rutherford County) on
January 10, 1029, she was the daughter of late Fannie (Hamrick) Price and Lacy Cleveland Price. Julia was a retired teacher with the Albuquerque (New Mexico) Public School System
In addition to her parents; she is preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Horace Howington, four sisters and three brothers.

Julia is survived her son, Tad Howington of Houston, Texas, numerous nieces and nephews, and many loving friends

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, February 4th at 11:00am at Mt.
Olivet Baptist Church with Rev. Jonathan Watson officiating.

In honor of Julia's tireless work with Relay for Life and finding a cure for cancer, in lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Julia's name to the American Cancer Society 930 Wellness Dr. #B Greenville, NC 27834 or
to the charity of choice.
