June Blankenship Lester, 86 of Vale, NC passed away on Wednesday, September 1, 2010. Services were held at Stamey Funeral Home, Fallston. Burial was held in New Home United Methodist Church. 

Mrs. Lester was preceded in death by her parents, Jonah Blankenship and Anna Sanders Blankenship.

She is survived by four sons, Gene Francis of Stopover, KY; David Lester of Vale, NC; Ricky Lester of Stopover, KY and Randall Lester of Vale; two daughters, Julia Ann Fletcher of Hagerstown, MD and Betty Hoffman of Hancock, MD; fifteen grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Redeemed Pentecostal Holiness Church, 300 E. Double Shoals Rd., Shelby, NC 28150.
