Kenneth Andrew Bivins, 70, of 2731 Ballpark Road, Lawndale, passed away on
Sunday, December 18, 2016 at Testa Hospice House in Kings Mountain.

He was born on August 29, 1946 in Cleveland County to the late Veles Brevard
Bivins and Blanche Williams Bivins. He was retired from Carolina Freight as
a Diesel Mechanic. He was a member of Lawndale Baptist church and served in
the US Army. He had an avid love for the outdoors and enjoyed hunting,
fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by one brother, Darrell
Bivins.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Freida Patrick Bivins; son, Jason
Bivins and wife Kelly McGee Bivins of Lawndale; three grandchildren,
Triston, Brackston and Jaycee Bivins of Lawndale; four brothers, Glenn
Bivins, Randy Bivins, Tommy Bivins all of Lawndale and Dale Bivins of
Gastonia; two sisters, Joan Smith of Fallston and Pat Sanford of Lawndale.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Stamey
- Tysinger Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Tuesday at Stamey - Tysinger
Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mickey Pruitt officiating.

Burial will follow the service at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
