Kenneth "Ken" Lee Fleisher

Kenneth "Ken" Lee Fleisher, 76, of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away on July 01, 2026 at Atrium Health Cleveland in Shelby, NC. He was born August 25, 1949 in Peoria County, IL, son of the late Arbon Dale and Daurine Mitchell Fleisher. Ken was a member of First Baptist Church Kings Mountain. He was a proud US Army veteran who served honorably in Vietnam for three tours of duty. Ken was wounded twice during his service and was awarded two purple hearts. After his service to the United States, he began a 32 year career as an electrical technician with Caterpillar in Peoria IL. After his retirement, he and his beloved wife, Sue, moved to the Kings Mountain area to be near family. Always staying busy, Ken began another 20 year career with ATS in Duncan, South Carolina. He enjoyed spending time outdoors in his garden. Ken was known as the "family fix-it guy". He enjoyed tinkering with projects and found satisfaction in repairing things. He loved being on the water, boating and water skiing. Ken adored his grandchildren and passed his knowledge of the water down to his children and grandchildren. During his time in Illinois, he and Sue enjoyed snow skiing as well. He was a devoted provider to his family and a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. Ken's memory will live on in the lives of everyone who knew and loved him.
