LAWNDALE - Rev. Kevin J. Adkins, 48, went to be with his Lord and Savior suddenly at his residence on Tuesday, December 03, 2019. He is predeceased by his parents, Leslie and Clara Ruth Anderson "Maw" Adkins; six sisters, Flora Jane, JoAnn Darlene, Dorothy, Delcie and Wilma Adkins; two brothers, John and Chester Adkins; nephew, Leslie; niece, Alisa.

Kevin was a member of The Church of the Redeemed in Lawndale, NC. He was an ordained Preacher, a well-known Mechanic and he worked in Safety and Fire Protection as a Chemical Room Attendant. He enjoyed dirt track racing and listening to gospel music. He was a good-hearted person that would give the shirt off his back to those in need.

Kevin leaves behind to cherish his memories his wife of 28 years, Tina Adkins of the home; furbabies, Macy, Minnie and Chewy; four brothers, James Adkins (Lisa), Ray Adkins (Pam), David Adkins (Shirley) and Arnold; five sister-in-laws; one brother-in-law; sisters, Alice, Dessie and Jane; numerous nieces and nephews.

A Graveside Service will be held at House of Prayer Cemetery, Fallston Road, on Saturday, December 07, 2019 at 2:00 PM with Revs Cecil Buff and Clyde Price officiating.
