KMLT presents The Secret Garden

The Kings Mountain Little Theater (KMLT) and Eastern Metal Supply will present The Secret Garden on June 20 and 21, beginning at 7:30 pm, and on June 21 and 22 at 3:00 pm.
The Secret Garden is based on the 1911 novel of the same name by Frances Hodgson Burnett.
The premise of The Secret Garden centers on Mary Lennox, a spoiled and lonely 10-year-old girl born and raised in the British Raj who is sent to live with her reclusive uncle in a large, gloomy estate on the Yorkshire moors after her parents die of cholera in India. The story is set in the early 20th century.
As Mary explores the estate, she discovers a locked with additional music by Lucy Simon. It premiered on Broadway in 1991 and ran for 709 performances. The play is presented with permission from Concord Theatricals.
The local performance is directed by Holly Mason, with Music Direction by Betsy Logeman.
Julep Martin will perform the role of Mary Lennox. Additional cast members include Maddie Grace Barrett as Mrs. Shelly and Mrs. Winthrop, Olivia Calaway as Rose Lennox, Bernadette Cloutier as Ayah, Carie Francis as Lily Craven, Will Francis as Dickon and Lt. Shaw/Wright, Alex Gould as Colin Craven, Madison Lambert as Fakir and Jane, Anne Logeman as Claire Holmes, Trey Logeman as Archibald Craven, Tilly McDaniel as Martha, Huck Martin as Capt. Albert Lennox, Vivien Ray as Mrs. Medlock, Vance Riley as Dr. Neville Craven and Major Shelley, Rachel Vercauteren as Alice, and Carson Weaver as Ben Weatherstaff and Major Holmes.
The play is a production of KMLT's Summer Intensive Program.
