Lamar Smith Parris, 21, passed away on July 08, 2026.

Born on March 25, 2005 in Gaffney, SC to parents Robert Hollis Jr and Kayla Michelle Parris, Lamar worked as a flooring installer at B & R Flooring with his grandfather. Lamar loved to tell jokes, was a classic rock fanatic, loved to fish, lift weights, and hike. He also had a love for reptiles. Lamar was of the Baptist faith and loved Jesus and America.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Parris was survived by two sisters, Arieanna Lark, Kahloni Parris; brother, Ro'nyaun "Phat" Hollis; grandparents, Bryce and Rhonda McMahel, paternal grandmother, Jeanette Smith; and paternal grandfather, Robert Hills Sr.

A cryptside funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 15th, 2026, at 11:00am at Frederick Memorial Gardens, with Rev. Asher Panton officiating.

The family will be at the home of his mother, Kayla, 111 Cypress Dr, Gaffney, SC, and also at the home of his grandparents, Bryce and Rhonda McMahel, 822 Kings Rd, Shelby, NC.
