Larry Dean Donaldson, 57, of Shelby, North Carolina went home to be with his Lord on Wednesday, October 7, 2026 while at his home. He was the beloved husband, of 31 years, to wife, Lynn Walker Donaldson.

Others left behind to cherish his memories are sons, Tyler (Courtney), Michael (Reba) and Chris (Logan); the love of his life, his precious grandchildren, Addison, Jaxton, Shawn, Sawyer, Laylah, Rylie and Jon; bonus grandchildren, Jayna, Kalix, and Laklin; numerous nieces and nephews; sisters, Lynn (Jimmy) and Suzie (Kyle); brother, Rickey (Bell); special sister-in-law, Donna Debrew (Cameron); close friend, like a brother, Tim McCluney; loving K-9, companion, commander and side kick, "Peppa"..

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis "Red" and Mary "Tootie" Donaldson; sister, Sherry Whitaker.

Larry was a dedicated member at Mount Calvary Church where he served the Lord. His last wish is for everyone to have a personal relationship with the Lord so they will have the assurance of Eternity in Heaven. He loved spending time and spoiling his grandchildren. He never met a stranger and loved hanging out at Crest Chevron talking with his buddies. He was loved by many and will truly be missed.

Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 pm on Monday, October 12, 2026 at Mount Calvary Church, 2305 Kingston Road, Kingstown, NC 28150 with Rev. Scott Holland, Rev. Dennis Harmon and Rev. Tim Reynolds officiating. Visitation will be held 2 hours prior to the service. Interment will be held immediately following the service at the church cemetery.
