Larry Keith Biddix entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Thursday, March 9, 2023.

Keith as he was known to his family, LB or Larry to friends, died unexpectedly at his residence. Although we accept that God has a perfect plan for our lives, his family and friends are deeply saddened and shocked by his sudden death. Keith was born on December 26, 1956.

His is survived and missed by the love of his life Wife, Crystal (nee Ledbetter) of 47 years. His son, Joshua (Scotti); who in addition to his 2 grandsons, Mason and Maverick were his pride and joy. Siblings: Tim Biddix (Paige) of Kings Mountain, Brian Wright (Beverly) of Maiden and Bruce Wright of Shelby.

His memory lives on with his nephews Joey and Remington Biddix of Kings Mountain, Justin Ledbetter (Tanya) of Winston Salem, Jordan Ledbetter (Jessica) of Shelby, Brock Wright and Braxton Wright of Raleigh.

Keith was predeceased by his parents Joe Biddix and Margaret Wright; inlaws Leon and Gertrude Ledbetter and nephew Jonathan Ledbetter.

His greatest pleasure came from enjoying his many trips as a family; visiting Alaska and Hawaii, many camping trips throughout the United States and Canada and cruises to many warm Caribbean locales. He married his wife in 1977 and told often of his first trip out of state to Myrtle Beach, SC. His wife set a goal of making sure Keith visited all 50 states and several provinces, along with trips abroad to Israel, Italy, Canada and Mexico.

Keith proudly served his country with the US Army 101st Airborne Division from 1975 to 1979. After military service, he obtained employment with Michelin Tire Corporation retiring in 2016 after 37 years of service to the company. He was also employed part-time with Cleveland County EMS for several years, the job he enjoyed most. Keith also enjoyed his 40 years of volunteer service with Shanghai Fire Department and post retirement service to Clifford's Army Rescue (CARE).

The family will receive friends 12:00 P.M. to 1:00PM, Monday, March 13, 2023 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home in Shelby. Funeral services will follow in the chapel at 1:00 P.M. with the Rev. Keith Dixon and Rev. Robin Short officiating. Burial will be held in Cleveland Memorial Park with military honors.

In honor of our loved one, we as a family, choose to live a life of meaningful acts of love and service, like Christ modeled for us.

There are no words that can express how grateful and blessed we are to our neighbors and friends who were there for us at the time of his passing. Also a heartfelt thank you to the Shanghai Fire Department Firefighters and First Responders, and Cleveland County EMS for doing everything they could.
