In loving Memory of a remarkable soul, Larry Pinkney Canipe.

Born January 28, 1944 in Lincolnton, NC departed peacefully May 6, 2026. Surrounded by his loved ones and the comforting embrace of his devoted dog, Elmer. He left this life as he lived it- quietly, humble and with Grace.

Born to Sid and Anne Reinhardt Canipe. His sister, Frances Canipe, along with his parents preceded him in death. Larry dedicated over 35 years of his life to Vermont American, tool company.

A man of simple pleasures, he found joy in farming and gardening. His hobbies over his life time included deer hunting and fishing. Surviving him is his wife Mary of 59 years; daughter Christy Dellinger and husband Greg and his granddaughters Lexie and Lillie Richardson.

Though a private ceremony will honor his memory, those wishing to pay tribute to his life my consider making a donation to Lincoln County Hospice. In his quite way he listened more than he spoke yet his presence was always felt and cherished. He had a unique way about him that everyone loved, a gentle spirit who touched the lives of many with his kindness.

As we honor the life of "Pop" let us remember him as the man who was always the same , no matter who he met: a man whose quite strength, humility and love left an incredible mark on all who knew him. He will deeply be missed and always cherished in our hearts!
