Linda Oxentine Holtsclaw, 81, of Vale passed away on October 25, 2025, at her home.

Linda was born on May 9, 1944, in Robeson County, and was a daughter of the late, Riley Oxentine and Melissa Locklear Oxentine. She was an active member of Laurel Hill United Methodist Church where she enjoyed serving her community and church family. Linda had worked in textiles and then enjoyed helping her husband with Country Store Antiques.

Additionally, Linda was preceded in death by her husband Robert Lee Holtsclaw, Sr. and a son-in-law, Jerry Setzer.

Linda is survived by four sons, Rev. Robert "Bobby" Lee Holtsclaw, Jr. and wife, Kim of Cherryville; Jeffrey Holtsclaw and wife Judy of Portland, OR; Billy Holtsclaw and wife, Jennifer of Catawba and Adam Holtsclaw of Vale; daughter, Joyce Setzer of Hickory; four grandchildren, Quinton Holtsclaw, Sarah Holtsclaw, Dalton Setzer and Eli Holtsclaw; a great-granddaughter Sariyah Street; a brother, Robert Oxentine of Hickory and four sisters, Katherine Hawkins of Valdese, Janice Chester of Hickory, Sarah Makey of Maiden and Beverly Rector of Hickory and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 30, 2025, from 1:00pm to 2:45 PM at Laurel Hill United Methodist Church.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October30, 2025, at 3:00 PM at Laurel Hill United Methodist Church with the Rev. Forrestene Sain and Rev Bobby Holtsclaw officiating.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
