Linda Weast Towery, 73, died Saturday, November 5, 2022 at Atrium Health Cleveland in Shelby.

A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late Summie and Martha Weast. Linda attended Destiny Life Center and Westwood Heights Baptist Church, she loved attending rodeos and going to the beach and mountains.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Towery. She is survived by her son, Robbie Thrift and wife Wendy of Shelby; daughter, Tammy Cash and husband Mark of Shelby; sisters, Jane Weast Falls and husband Steve of Lawndale and Susan Weast Goins and husband Sam of Greenville, SC; half-brother, Todd Weast and wife Theresa of Clover, SC; grandchildren, Zach Thrift and wife Roni, Cori Jade Mellon and husband Tyler, Cierra Smith and husband Luke, Bryson Cash and Bryant Cash; great-grandchildren, Zoey, Saya, Luna, Braxton, Dayton and Nora Rose; nieces, Cassie, Erica and Sandy; and nephew, Ray. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm Wednesday, November 9 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel, with Bishop Marcus Strong officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service at the funeral home staring at 12:30pm. Burial will follow in Cleveland Memorial Park.
