Lisa Degree Johnson, 51, was born on December 1, 1974, to Thomas Degree and the late June Jackson. She departed this earthly life on June 29, 2026 at CaroMont Health, Gastonia, NC.

Lisa attended Shelby High School and was employed as a caregiver for years. She was blessed with a large family that loved her dearly. She married her best friend, Toby Johnson, on October 27, in Shelby, NC. Lisa had an instrumental part in raising her nieces and nephews alongside her daughter, Jaleen.

She is preceded in death by her mother, June Jackson; grandparents, Letha and Benjamin Jenkins and Jessie and Quinn Degree; and a brother, Derrick Brice.

Memories of Lisa are left behind in the hearts of her husband, Toby Johnson; daughter, Jaleen Brice; father, Thomas Degree (Loretta); sisters, April Degree Banner (Aaron Sr.), Shekima Degree Byers (Kenaz), India Degree, Deborah Brice; brother, and Tavares Lockhart (Nikki); and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, July 8, 2026 at 3:00 PM at S.T. Enloe Memorial Chapel.
