Lynn Lookadoo Morrison, age 71, died Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at her home. Born in Cleveland County on March 8, 1946, she was the daughter of the late George W. and Laura Alda McSwain Lookadoo. Lynn was a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church. Lynn retired from Kemet Electronics after many years of service. Lynn enjoyed going to the beach, spending time with family and ironing clothes. In addition to her parents, Lynn is preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, David Kenneth Morrison; and a sister, Janice Humphries.

Lynn is survived by three daughters, Lori Lynn Morrison of Swainsville, Kimberly Jo Canipe and husband Randy of Mooresboro, Donna Kay Hawk and husband Harry Jr.of Mooresboro; a sister, Judy Mauney and husband Mike of Lattimore; three brothers, Albert Lookadoo and wife Barbara of Lattimore, Bruce Lookadoo and wife Bonnie of Swainsville, George Emmett Lookadoo of Gainesville, FL; Suitor Charles Jones of Mooresboro; nine grandchildren, Joshua Hamrick, Richard Hamrick and wife Megan, Carla Wallace and husband Billy, Noah Canipe, Lee Collins, Laura Alston and husband Tracy, Harry Hawk III, George Hawk, Hannah Hawk, and Abigail Hawk; and four great grandchildren, Ariel Alston, Emma Wallace, Will Wallace, Janna Hamrick.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 1, 2017 at 11:00 am at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church with Dr. Andrew Rawls, and Ronald Hamrick officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, June 30, 2017 at Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home and Crematory from 6:00 pm until 7: 30 pm.
