Margaret Lillian Peace Hauck



Margaret Lillian Peace Hauck, age 90, of Ellenboro, NC, died Monday, September 16, 2013 at her residence.
 
     Margaret was born June 10, 1923 in Clearfield County, Pennsylvania to the late Reese Irvin Peace and Kathryn Melinda Shepler Peace.  She was a homemaker and also worked for a number of years at Schroth’s Tree Nursery in Pine Flats, PA. She was a former member of Mt. Carmel Church in Clover Run, PA where she sang in the choir, helped with Sunday School, Bible School and took part in Christmas plays.  After moving to Ellenboro, NC she became a member of Piney Mountain Baptist Church and was a faithful member until health issues became a factor.
 
    Margaret loved her family and was especially endeared to her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.  Anyone who visited her house never left hungry. She would always go to the basement and open a few jars of vegetables and meats that she canned.
 
     In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of sixty seven years, Harry L. Hauck; daughter, Judy Cramer; son, Charles Hauck; son-in-law, Pete Harvath; two grandchildren, Debra L. Boring and Tracey L. Herberling; seven sisters, five brothers and a half-brother.
 
     Survivors include her daughter, Mary E. Harvath of Ellenboro; son, Walter C. Hauck of Grampian, PA; son-in-law, Jerry Cramer of Clymer, PA; nine grandchildren, Edward Harvath and wife, Sherry, Harry Harvath and wife, Terri, Joy Ann Temchulla and husband, Tony, John Hauck, Walter Donahoo, Dennis Sullivan and wife, Stacey and Frank Johnson; grandson-in-law, Erin Herberling and a number of great grandchildren and great-great granchildren.  She is also survived by a good friend, Mike Harvath of Florida.
 
     Funeral services will be conducted at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, September 20, 2013 at the Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until service time at the funeral home.  Interment will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday in Mt. Carmel Church Cemetery in Clover Run.
