Margaret McSwain Walker passed peacefully on January 18, 2026. Her husband of 58 years, Larry Walker, greeted her with open arms in heaven. She was the best wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Family always came first, and she led us all to be positive and kind. She taught us well and always led by example. She was blessed with an amazing, wonderful life. We will all miss her.

She is survived by her daughter, Debbie Walker Cudd, and her husband, Sam; her son, Chris Walker, and his wife, Joanne. Her grandchildren include Michael Walker and wife Adrienne and their children, Juliana, Jaclyn, Holland, and Hudson; her grandson Marc Walker and wife Ariel; her granddaughter Michelle Walker Moore and husband Addison and their children, McKenna and Ella Rose.

A very special thanks to the entire staff of The Bridge at Lake Pointe Landing. Their care, compassion, and love are unmatched.

A graveside service at Cleveland Memorial Park in Shelby will take place at 11:00 AM on Friday, January 23, 2026 with Rev. Keith Dixon officiating. The family will receive friends following the graveside service.
