With grateful hearts, we remember Margaret Roberts, who departed this life on May 1, 2025 at the age of 87. Margaret was born on November 2, 1937 to the late Clarence and Kathleen (Edwards) Roberts, and lived a life full of love, strength, and faith.

Margaret was preceded in death by her beloved parents; her brothers, LC Roberts (wife, Hester), James Albert Roberts, and Kenneth Leon Roberts; and her sisters, Lucille Howell, and Helen L. Washington (husband, Rochelle).

She leaves to cherish her memory her brother, Thomas (Minnie) Roberts of Shelby, NC; two sisters, Rosa Stanfield (Willie) of Sarasota, FL and Jackie Surrett (Michael) of Shelby, NC; and her sister-in-law, Bobbie Roberts (James) of Virginia Beach, VA. Margaret will also be lovingly remembered by a host of nieces, nephews, caregivers, extended family, and friends whose lives were enriched by knowing her.

A special tribute is given to Malinda Kemp (niece), Willie Stanfield (brother-in-law), and Ray Williamson (classmate and friend), as well as Christopher, her grand-nephew.

Margaret's legacy of faith, love and perseverance will be remembered by all who knew her.

Funeral services were held on Friday, May 9, 2025 at Wardell Chapel AME Zion Church at 1:00 p.m.
