Margie Edna Hudson, 84, of Golden Valley passed away on Wednesday, February 18, 2026 at Atrium Health - Cleveland in Shelby.

Margie was born on December 20, 1941 in Cleveland County and was a daughter of the late Grover John Hudson and Alma Lilly Swink Hudson. She was a homemaker and member of Golden Valley Church. Her church was very important and dear to her and she loved her Golden Valley Church family. Margie enjoyed working in her garden, canning foods and hunting deer, squirrel, turkey and even a wild hog.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by two sons, Ronnie and Henry Hudson; a brother, John Hudson; and a sister, Vennie Hudson.

Margie is survived by two daughters, Kathy Hudson of Bostic and Elvie Hudson of Casar; four sisters, Wilma Epley of Morganton, Georgia Hudson of Forest City, Betty Hudson of Golden Valley, and Zennie Smith of Casar; eight grandchildren, Andrea, Christopher, Kevin, Erik, Jessica, Nathan, Joshua, and Rachel; and four great-grandchildren, Sophia, Sean, Lane and Bonnie.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 21, 2026 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at Golden Valley Church.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, February 21, 2026 at Golden Valley Church with the Rev. Tom Wilkes officiating.

Burial will follow at in the church cemetery.
