Margie Yelton Sisk, age 82, passed away Friday, September 12, 2025 at the Fair Haven Home in Forest City.
Margie was born Wednesday, February 10, 1943 in Mitchell County, NC to the late Earnest Yelton and Jesse Hutchins Yelton. She was a homemaker who enjoyed taking care of and spending time with her family. Margie also worked at Cone Mills for many years. She loved going to the mountains, camping and fishing. One of her favorite things to do was traveling. She was a longtime and faithful member of Spindale Fellowship Holiness Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of forty-six years, Carl Sisk; son, Perry Sisk and sisters, Faye Wall, Josie Fish and Thelma Holland.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Sharon Davis (Tommy) of Mooresboro and Rachel Ruppe (Shane) of Forest City; sons, Dean Sisk (Rhonda) of Rutherfordton and William Sisk of Forest City; eighteen grandchildren and twenty-six great grandchildren.
The funeral service will be conducted at noon on Wednesday, September 17th at Spindale Fellowship Holiness Church with Reverend Leon Brown and Reverend Brandon Sisk officiating. Interment will follow at Robertson Creek Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
