Marline Rose Marie Milberry Walker, lovingly known as Molly, passed away on January 31, 2026, at the age of 83.

Marline was faithful and generous, and her love for helping others was the essence of who she was. Known for her unexpected humor and reassuring smile, she brought comfort wherever she went.

Marline was born on May 8, 1942, in New York, to the late Eldridge and Stella Milberry. She devoted more than 30 years to Cleveland County Schools as an elementary educator, shaping the lives of countless children and earning the respect of students, parents, and colleagues. She was known for her strong teaching skills and was a passionate advocate for children, especially those entrusted to her care.
She was a dedicated member of Casar Baptist Church, where she served in a variety of roles, including singing in the church choir and teaching Sunday School. Her servant's heart was evident in all she did.

Family was central to Marline's life. She loved deeply and intentionally, offering guidance, support, and encouragement. She showed up in moments both ordinary and important, giving of herself without expectation and always asking, "What can I do for you?"

She shared 51 loving years of marriage with her husband, William "Bill" Luther Walker, who preceded her in death.

She is survived by her three children, Karen Gilbert (Buddy) of Beaufort, South Carolina; Glenn Walker of Lawndale; and Clint Walker (Debbie) of Lawndale; her grandchildren, Emily Inlow (Matthew), Will Walker (Chelsea), Savannah Walker, and Winston Walker (Haley); her great-grandchildren, Kolby, Kenny, and Aubrey; and her sister, Barbara Draper of Alpharetta, Georgia.

The family will receive friends on Friday, February 6, 2026 from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11:00 AM at Casar Baptist Church, with Rev. Doug Pruett officiating.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
