Martha Ann McDaniel Smith, 66, of 264 Ed Downs Road, Casar, went peacefully
to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at Hospice at Wendover in
Shelby.

Born June 3, 1945 in Rutherford County, she was a daughter of the late Paul
Luther McDaniel and Bonnie Dee Wortman McDaniel.  She was retired from Fasco
Industries and was a member of Casar Baptist Church.  She was a very loving
Christian wife and mother and dearly loved her church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Gene
and Bobby McDaniel.

She is survived by her husband, Dock Smith; daughter, Elizabeth Smith of
Boone; two brothers, Luther McDaniel and wife, Dorothy of Morganton and
Steve McDaniel and wife, Rosetta of Casar; sister, Helen Lail and husband,
Arnold of Williamsburg, VA; and two sister-in-laws, Jackie McDaniel of Casar
and Vertie McDaniel of Shelby.

Visitation: 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM, Friday at Casar Baptist Church

Funeral Service: 4:00 PM, Friday at Casar Baptist Church

Officiating: Revs. Douglas Pruett and Carroll Pruette

Burial: Casar Baptist Church Cemetery
