Martha Houser Sain

Martha Houser Sain, 84, of Vale, loving wife of the late Kenneth Farrell Sain, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 30, 2024, at Wendover Hospice House in Shelby.

Born October 11, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Onzie and Naomi Smith Houser. Along with her husband, she was preceded in death by their beloved daughter, Teresa Sain Huss.

She was a devoted wife and mother and enjoyed attending church, supporting her late husband's music ministry, painting, and spending time with friends and family. She was a prayer warrior and shared the love of Jesus through her card ministry. She retired from Timken in Lincolnton.

Her grandchildren survive her from the late Teresa Huss: Kasey and her partner Will; and Nathan and his wife Kayla. Additionally, she is survived by her son Stephen and his wife Karen; grandsons William and his wife Ginger, and Spencer; her son Robin and his wife Kim; granddaughters Christy Clarke and her husband Preston, Heather Pressley, step-grandson Charles Powell; and thirteen great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters Deborah Sigmon, her husband Danny, and Krista DesRoches, and her husband William.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 5, 2024, at Mount Vernon Baptist Church in Vale, followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 4:00 p.m., officiated by Rev. Harold Benfield and Rev. Dr. Dennis Bean.
