Mrs. Mary Marie Wright Bumgarner, 76, of 6457 Wards Gap Rd., Casar, NC, passed away Thursday, July 8, 2010. Services were held at Pisgah Baptist Church. Burial followed in the church cemetery. 

Mrs. Bumgarner was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Junior Bumgarner; her parents, Odus Wright and Junie Chapman Wright; 1 brother, Bryson Wright; and 2 sisters, Ronie Belle Hoyle and Velma McNeilly.

She is survived by 4 sons, David Bumgarner and wife Gail of Hickory, Ronnie Bumgarner and wife Robin of Vale, Ronald Bumgarner and wife Angie of Lawndale, and Randy Bumgarner and wife Beth of Casar; 1 daughter, Beulah McKee and husband Steve of Shelby; 1 brother, Leonard Wright of Beckley, West Virginia; 1 sister, Minnie White of Casar; 9 grandchildren; numerous step-grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Palliative Care Center and Hospice of Catawba Valley, 3975 Robinson Road, Newton, NC 28658; or to: Pisgah Baptist Church, P.O. Box 388, Casar, NC 28020.
