Maude Stephens Searcy, 87, of 218 Cline Street, Lawndale, passed away
Monday, December 19, 2016 at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.

She was born on April 24, 1929 in Cliffside, to the late James Oliver
Stephens and Ina Hudgin Stephens. She was retired from Cleveland County
Schools as a teacher's assistant and bus driver. She was also a member of
Lawndale Baptist Church where she was a former Sunday School Teacher and
Choir Member.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her son, David
Searcy; four brothers and four sisters.

She is survived by her husband of fifty-eight years, Donald Lee Searcy;
three sons and daughters-in-law, Dennis Searcy of Shelby, Mark and Judy
Searcy of Fallston and Scott and Jessica Searcy of Kings Mountain; seven
grandchildren and spouses, Benjamin Searcy of Lincolnton, Michael and
Jessica Searcy of Shelby, Rebecca and Ian Butler of Shelby, Donnie Searcy of
Rutherfordton, Kinslee Searcy of Kings Mountain, Trent Edwards of Kings
Mountain, and Micah Edwards of Kings Mountain; and six great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at
Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home, Fallston.

The funeral service will be held on Thursday at 2:00 PM on Stamey-Tysinger
Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jim Kilby officiating.

The burial will follow the service in the Rose Hill Memorial Park.
