Max Wayne Walker
Shelby - Max Wayne Walker, 66, of 2076 McBrayer Springs Road, passed away Thursday, January 8, 2015 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center in Shelby.
Born January 18, 1948 in Cleveland County, he was a son of the late James Walker and Frances Lunet Mintz Walker.
Max was a member of Faith Baptist Church and the W. R. Gary Post of the American Legion in Fallston. He retired as a shipping, receiving and traffic manager for Fasco Industries. Max served in the Army during the Vietnam Conflict.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Eddie Walker.
Max is survived by his wife of twenty years, Gail Webb Walker; son, Brandon Walker of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Shane and Jill Walker of Shelby; daughters and sons-in-law, Michelle and Kenneth Rhinehart of Polkville, Terry and Jeff Huffstetler of Shelby, Jennie and Wayne King of Gastonia, Pam and Chris Robinson of Shelby, and Crystal Barnett of Polkville; sisters, Brenda Mayes and Linda Bell both of Shelby; thirteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Visitation: The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 6:00 pm Saturday at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home in Fallston.
Funeral: 2:00pm Sunday at Faith Baptist Church in Shelby.

Burial: Wallace Grove Baptist Church
