Mr. Michael A. Davis, 54, of 516 Franklin Ave., Shelby, NC, passed away Sunday, July 25, 2010. Services were held at Ollie Harris Memorial Chapel. Burial followed in Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain, NC. 

Mr. Davis was preceded in death by his father, Joe Davis; and 1 brother, Tony Davis.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Marsha McDaniel Davis of Shelby, NC; his mother, Doris Burdette Davis of Shelby, NC; 1 daughter, Shannon R. Davis of Columbia, SC; 3 sons, Binh N. Davis and wife Mai of Greenville, SC, Jerry C. Davis and wife Nina of Charlotte, NC, and Thomas M. Davis of New Bern, NC; 1 brother, Mark Davis of Greenville, SC; 1 sister, Christy D. Silver of Shelby, NC; and 5 grandchildren.
