Michael Donovan "Boo" Paysour, 54, of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away on August 12, 2026.

He was born February 28, 1972 in Cleveland County, son of the late Donovan Paysour. He was also preceded in death by his beloved grandparents Donald and Earsie Woods. Michael graduated from Kings Mountain High School with the Class of 1990 and lettered in football. He served his country honorably for six years in the US Navy, including time spent stationed in Kuwait during the Gulf War. He attended Gaston College and North Carolina State University and spent more than 20 years as a nuclear engineer with Duke Energy.

Michael was a lifelong sports fan with a particular passion for football, an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, and lifelong supporter of the Kings Mountain High School Mountaineers. He could often be found in the stands cheering the Mounties to victory under the Friday night lights. Michael also cherished all the time he was able to spend with his friends hanging out at the Kings Mountain Country Club. He was an active member of the American Legion Post 155 in Kings Mountain and a member of the Masonic Lodge.

Michael's primary dedication in life was to his boys, Angelo and Dominic. He was a devoted parent who went above and beyond to provide and fill as many roles as humanly possible for his sons.

Those left to cherish his memory include his sons Angelo and Dominic Paysour, mother Pamela Cogdell, and sisters , Carolyn Helms (Dennis), Kathryn Bennett (Gary), Tammy Paysour and Savannah Paysour
