Michael Lee “Mike” Bridges, Sr., age 56, resident of 106 Anderson Acres, Kings Mountain, NC died February 8, 2012 at Spalding Regional Medical Center, Griffin, GA.  He was born in Gaston Co, NC to the late Paul Bridges and Mary Helen Matheson Bridges.   He was also preceded in death by grandchild, Alex Green.  Mike was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who loved to carp fish, an active member of New Buffalo Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon.  He was employed with Mills Engineering, Gastonia, NC for 23 years.   

SURVIVORS: Wife of 37 years: Susan Anderson Bridges, Kings Mtn. NC

Son: Michael Lee Bridges, Jr. and wife Arlene, Cornelius, NC

Daughter: Sherri Green and boyfriend, Jeff Wilson, Kings Mtn. NC

Brothers: Richard Bridges and Mitchell Bridges, both of Kings Mtn. NC

Sisters: Linda Rayfield, Kings Mtn.  and Terry Vick, New York.

3 Grandchildren: Sierra Archibald, Logan Green, and Cassidy Bridges.

FUNERAL SERVICE: New Buffalo Baptist Church, Sunday, February 12, 2012   3:00 P.M.   Rev. Adam Green, officiating.

VISITATION: 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. Saturday evening, February 11, 2012 at Harris Funeral Home, Kings Mountain, NC other times at the home of the daughter, 502 Ellenwood Drive, Kings Mountain, NC.

INTERMENT: New Buffalo Baptist Church Cemetery, Grover, North Carolina
