Michael Ray Hallman

Michael Ray Hallman, 77, of Ellenboro, NC, passed away at his home on November 27, 2025. Born in Cleveland County on November 22, 1948, he was the son of the late Lloyd Ray Hallman and Thelma Sipe Hallman.
Mike was a long-time member of Bethel Baptist Church in Ellenboro, Shelby Masonic Lodge #744 A.F. &A.M., and the Oasis Shrine Club. He served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era. Handy and hardworking, Mike enjoyed woodworking, fishing, and hunting. For more than 20 years, he co-owned and operated his Engine Service and Parts shop in Shelby, where he built lasting relationships and earned the respect of his customers and community.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Nancy Toney Hallman; his son, Eskridge Hallman; his sister, Libby Eaker, and her husband, Scott; his brother-in-law, Steve Toney; and his sister-in-law, Paulette Mode, and her husband, Clyde, and a host of nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, December 4, 2025, in the chapel of Cecil M. BurtonFuneral Home. Military honors will be provided by the United States Army, and Lodge 744 will conduct Masonic Rites. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
A graveside service will follow at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 5, 2025, at Cleveland Memorial Park. The family would like to thank Rhonda Hull for her care and Hospice of the Carolina Foothills for their support.
