Mrs. Mildred Allen Self, 85 of Mooresboro, NC passed away on Tuesday, August 23, 2011. Services were held at Sandy Run Baptist Church in Mooresboro. Internment was held in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Self was preceded in death by her husband, J.L. Self, and her parents, J. C. and Alice Allen.

She is survived by her two daughters and their husbands: Stan and Wanda Schenkel of Mooresboro and  Dwight and Cheryl Reid of Greenville, SC; one sister, Violet Allen of Greenville, SC, four brothers, Bronner Allen of Greenville, SC, Flay Allen of Elche, Spain, Gettys Allen of Pensacola, FL, and Alton Allen, Zirconia, NC, and six grandchildren.
