Blacksburg - Mitchell Keith Sykes, 51, of 1736 Blacksburg Highway, passed away Sunday, May 10th, 2026 at his residence.

Born in Florence, SC, Mitchell was the widower of Cathlene Arena Sykes and the son of the late Wayne and Emily Faye Poston Sykes. He formerly worked in construction.

Mitchell is survived by his children, D'Ana Sykes, Cody Sykes, and Mitchell Sykes; his sister, Crystal Porter; and his grandchildren, Servante Hamilton, Nalani Goode, Autumn Harper Sykes, Lauren Avery Sykes, and Oaklynn Rhea Sykes.
