Modenia Moss Reynolds


Gaffney -- Modenia Moss Reynolds, 95, of 1434 N. Limestone Street, passed away Tuesday, October 9th, 2018, at Peachtree Centre.

Born in Gaffney, she was the widow of Charles Reynolds Sr. and the daughter of the late Love and Ethel Pennington Moss. Mrs. Reynolds formerly owned Reynolds Cafe and Grocery and was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.

Surviving Mrs. Reynolds are a son, Charles Reynolds Jr., of Blacksburg; a daughter, Sandra McDaniel and husband, Mark, of Blacksburg; a sister, Dorothy Carroll, of Gaffney; nine grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Reynolds was preceded in death by a son, Mike Reynolds; a daughter, Brenda Fowler Stewart; one brother, Willard Moss; and two sisters, Frances Poole and Coleen Reynolds.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 11th, 2018, from 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm at Gordon Mortuary. Funeral services will be held Friday, October 12th, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Broad River Baptist Church with Rev. Norman Philbeck and Rev. Dennis Willoughby officiating. Interment will follow at Clingman Memorial Gardens.

The family will be at the home of Mark and Sandra McDaniel, 101 Dixon Drive, Blacksburg.
