Mr. E. J. Beaver, Jr., 73, was born in Cleveland County to the late Ernest Jesse Beaver & Nina Mae

Davis Beaver. He was a member of Big Springs Baptist Church in Hollis and served in the

U. S. Army. He was stationed in Germany as a military policeman. He retired from Fiber Industries

after 35 years of service as a maintenance engineer. Mr. Beaver loved gardening, traveling and

watching basketball and racing. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a great

grandchild Melinda Shope and 2 great great grandchildren Darian Felton & Hannah Alexander.

He is survived by his wife of thirty years, Barbara S. Beaver, a son Kevin F. Beaver & wife Tammi

of Ellenboro; a daughter Angela Morgan of South Carolina; two step daughters Cindy Felton of

Belmont and Donna Shope of Mt. Holly; two step sons Ricky Barnes & wife Lisa of High Point and

Ronnie Davis of Gilky; two sisters Betty Dodson & husband Hansel of Ellenboro and Lib

Jackson & husband Earl of Polkville. He is also survived by six grandchildren and eight great

grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at Cleveland Funeral Services & Crematory, Thursday, March 1^st,

6:00 – 8:00 pm. The funeral will be held on Friday, March 2^nd at Bethel Baptist Church in

Ellenboro at 3:00 pm with the Rev. David Jendrey officiating.
