Mr. Ralph Dixon Carpenter, 68, of Casar, NC passed away on Wednesday, August 3, 2011.  Services were held at Casar United Methodist Church. Burial was held in the church cemetery.

Mr. Carpenter was preceded in death by  his parents, Dewey Dixon Carpenter and Sarah Francis Horton Carpenter and one brother, Ed Carpenter. 

He is survived by his son, Eric Dixon Carpenter of Shelby; two daughters: Terri Ann Price and husband Donny Price of Shelby and Kimberly Johnson McGinnis and husband Rodney McGinnis of Shelby; his beloved ex-wife, Geraldine Carpenter Valcore of Shelby; 7 grandchildren; one niece and one nephew.
