Natalie Shull McLain Costner, 63 of Shelby, North Carolina passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2026 at home under Hospice Care. Natalie was born Sunday, December 30, 1962 in Greenwood, South Carolina to the late Z.R. Shull and Linda Eaker.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her 2 sons, Wesley Lee McLain (Scooter) and Henry Alcie McLain III (Tracy); stepmother, Virginia Estep Shull; brother, Z.R. Shull, Jr.; cousin, Donna Stallings.

Natalie is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 17 years, Robert Wayne Costner (Robbie); sister, Rhonda Shull; 3 nieces, Jessica Hinson, Leah Garren and Sabrina Pressley; a nephew, Zeddie Shull; 4 great -nephews, Riddick and Nolan Hinson; Dominic and Done Davis; cousins, Teresa Fraser, Alice Malary and Danielle Terry; beloved friends, Sonja and David Greene, Kim Beaver; God-son, Mark "P-Nut" Beaver (Melania); God-grandsons, Isaiah and Zane Beaver.

Natalie was a member of Way of the Cross Freewill Baptist Church. She loved to talk about Jesus and spread Jesus' name. She had a special place in her heart for animals. She was a very kind person that didn't meet a stranger. She will be greatly missed.

A very special "Thank You" to Sandy Byrum and the Hospice team for all their care for Natalie.

The Family will Receive Friends Saturday, April 11, 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM with the Funeral Service following at 1:00 PM at Way of the Cross Freewill Baptist Church of Shelby with Reverend Jeffery Flowers officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Way of the Cross Freewill Baptist Church, 875 East Zion Church Road, Shelby, NC 28150.
