More Info: The Foothills Quilters guild is having a yard sale inside the Ascension Lutheran Church on May 19th. There will be lots of craft/sewing/quilting /books items for sale. Also, some used sewing machines. The money raised will help us continue to do our charity works in this county. Rain or shine.

What: Pups In The Park

When: 1:30 pm until 4:30 pm, May 19.

Where: Shelby City Park, 850 W Sumter St, Shelby, NC.

More Info: Clifford's Army Rescue Extravaganza (CARE) will have many of their adoptable dogs there for you to meet. We will also have our Mock Adoption event where children can pick out a plush toy dog to adopt. The Carrousel and train will be open. Clifford the Rescue dog will also be on hand ! Looking to adopt? Go ahead and fill out your application at cliffordsarmyrescue.com, so you can get pre-approved! You can then pick out your new family member at the event and take him or her home. We DO NOT do same day adoptions without prior application and approval. Not looking to adopt? Come on out and pet some wonderful doggies! Who does not like puppy love? A great day for kids, adults and doggies! Learn all about our dog rescue group and find out if you may be interested in helping as a volunteer or become a Foster for a pup. What: Annual Rose Show

Where: Cleveland County Extension Office,130 S. Post Rd., Shelby, NC.

More Info: The Cleveland Lincoln County Rose Society is hosting the annual Rose Show. Hundreds of roses will be judged for, Best in Class. The show includes Rose Arrangements and Rose Photography. The Beautiful Rose Show is open to the public at no charge. All roses will be sold at 4:00 pm - long stems 3/$1.00 and smaller rose 4/$1.00. These make beautiful arrangements for church or loved ones, bring your buckets to pick up your roses.

Nar-Anon Support Group: Meets 6:30 pm weekly on Tuesdays at the First Baptist Church, 120 N. Lafayette St., Shelby, NC. Nar-Anon is a support group for those affected by someone else's drug addiction. We meet in the classroom off Dale St. between Sumter & Campbell St. Park on the side of the church or in the alley. Al-Anon Support Groups: Al-Anon Family Support Groups support those who are affected by someone else's drinking and drug use. Cliffords Corner inside Rollover Pets: EVERY FRIDAY!! Looking for some fun and the chance to play with and love on some sweet and adorable rescue dogs?? Come get your weekend started off with a smile, laughter and a happy heart. Come hang out in Clifford's Corner, inside RollOver Pets, 105. W. Warren in Uptown Shelby. C.A.R.E (Clifford's Army Rescue Extravaganza) will be there from 2 pm to 5 pm with just a handful of the dogs they have in rescue and foster. C.A.R.E (Clifford's Army Rescue Extravaganza) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, all volunteer, dog rescue organization. Please note, we Do Not do same day adoptions, so if you are looking to adopt an adorable new family member and want to take home the same day, you need to fill out an adoption application now, ahead of the event, AND get preapproved.
