What: 1st Annual Dog Days of September Car & Bike Show
When: 11:00 am until 3:00 pm, September 20.
Where: Dapper Dan's Antique & Collectibles Mall, 401 Paul H. Beam Rd., Cherryville, NC.
More Info: Join us for a high-octane afternoon of chrome, classics, and compassion! Whether you're a car enthusiast, a bike lover, or just looking for a great way to support rescue dogs, this event has something for everyone. Awards Include:, Best in Show, People's Choice, Best Muscle Car, Most Original. Best Motorcycle.
Fuel up at TJ's Hamburgers, serving up the best smash burgers around! Live music by Angie Cannon will keep the vibes rolling all day long. All proceeds benefit Clifford's Army Rescue, an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to saving the dogs others overlook, the injured, the sick, the feral, the frightened, and the abandoned. Come for the cars, stay for the cause. Let's raise some funds and some fun for the pups who need us most! $25 Entry Fee.

Wednesday, SEPTEMBER 24
What: Annual Paul Porter Golf Tournament
When: Tee Time starts 10:00 am, lunch at noon, September 24.
Where: River Bend Golf Club, 3005 Long Wood Dr., Shelby, NC.
More Info: The Cleveland Rutherford Kidney Association is sponsoring the annual Paul Porter Golf Tournament. We are looking for 4 player teams and hole sponsors. What: Pinot's Puppy Pet 'n Sip Returns
When: 11:00 am until 2:00 pm, September 27.
Where: Dragonfly Wine Market, 101 W Warren St., Shelby, NC.
More Info: Pinot has once again graciously opened the doors of **Dragonfly Wine Market** to host some of our adorable C.A.R.E. pups for a tail-wagging good time! She did mention that a few "cat treats" wouldn't hurt, since she's being so generous. Come sip your favorite wine (or beverage of choice), meet some of our **adoptable dogs**, and enjoy the company of fellow animal lovers. Whether you're looking to adopt or just want to soak up some puppy love, this event is for you! Don't have a dog or prefer not to bring yours? No problem -- we'll pair you with one of our sweet pups looking for their forever home.
We'll even hold your drink while you pet the pups! It's the perfect way to spend a Saturday -- good drinks, good company, and great dogs.

Basic Manners Dog Training Class Fundraiser: Sign Up Today! Clifford's Army Rescue Extravaganza is excited to host an amazing training opportunity for you and your pup, led by Robin Ledford of Canine Training IN Action LLC! Class Dates: September 21, September 28, October 5 ,October 12, Time: 2:00 pm. Location: Clifford's Army Rescue, One Motion Picture Blvd, Shelby, NC. (Former Earl Owensby Studios) This class is perfect for teaching your dog essential manners while strengthening your bond. Whether your pup needs help with basic commands or just some socialization, this class is a great fit!️ Early Bird Special: $100 if registered by September 7, $125 after September 7. Reunion Luncheon for KMHS Class of 1971: The Kings Mountain High School Class of 1971 will have a Reunion Luncheon on Saturday, September 20, 2025 at 11:30 am. Class photo will be taken at 12:00 Noon. This informal luncheon will be held at Italian Gardens & Pizzeria, 213 E. King Street, Kings Mountain, NC. The meal is Dutch treat. Classmates should feel free to bring a spouse or friend. No reservations are necessary, just show up. We ask friends to pass the word to other classmates and let them know. Nar-Anon Support Group: Meets 6:30 pm weekly on Tuesdays at the First Baptist Church, 120 N. Lafayette St., Shelby, NC. Nar-Anon is a support group for those affected by someone else's drug addiction. We meet in the classroom off Dale St. between Sumter & Campbell St. Park on the side of the church or in the alley. Al-Anon Support Groups: Al-Anon Family Support Groups support those who are affected by someone else's drinking and drug use.
