Where: Uptown Shelby, NC.
More Info: Parade begins at 10am. Program begins at 11am. Parade begins at S. Lafayette & Graham Streets. Program will be held on the south lawn of the Earl Scruggs Center. Parade registration is open until November 4, 2025. Registration forms may be picked up at the Veterans Service Office, Cleveland County Administration Bldg, 311 E Marion St, Monday-Friday from 8am to 5pm. What: Clifford's Uptown Hounds 5K & Festival - Santa & Grinch Photos
When: 8:00 am until 4:00 pm, November 15.

Don't miss the best Santa & Grinch photos in town, at RollOver Pets, 105 W Warren St, Shelby. Santa & Grinch Photo Sessions: 9 am to 12 noon and 1 pm to 4 pm. These photos make perfect holiday gifts. Bring your four-legged kids and make a memory that lasts! Every part of this festival supports dogs who've suffered from abuse, neglect, injury, and abandonment. Veterans Appreciation Ceremony & Dinner: All veterans and their families are invited to attend this event hosted by the Kings Mountain American Legion on November 9 at 4pm. This free event will be held at 613 E. Gold Street, Kings Mountain, NC.

Astronomy Club Meeting: Anyone with interest in astronomy and would like to learn more about it, come join us at the Williams Observatory on the campus of Gardner-Webb University in Boiling Springs, NC. Third Thursday of each month at 7:00pm.

Monthly Meeting at American Legion, Post 82: 2nd Monday of every month. Meal at 6:00 pm, Meeting at 6:30 pm. Warren F. Hoyle, American Legion, Post 82, 1628 South Lafayette St., Shelby, NC. We invite all Veterans to attend our monthly meetings. If you are a son or grandson of a veteran, you can join the Sons of the American Legion. Members of the Legion family can join the Legion Riders. To join the American Legion, the veteran holds an honorable discharge or is an active duty veteran. Spouses, daughters, granddaughters of a veteran can join the Auxiliary.

Nar-Anon Support Group: Meets 6:30 pm weekly on Tuesdays at the First Baptist Church, 120 N. Lafayette St., Shelby, NC. Nar-Anon is a support group for those affected by someone else's drug addiction. We meet in the classroom off Dale St. between Sumter & Campbell St. Park on the side of the church or in the alley. Al-Anon Support Groups: Al-Anon Family Support Groups support those who are affected by someone else's drinking and drug use.
