Operation Christmas In The Smokies Toy Run
Operation Christmas In The Smokies Toy Run will be Saturday, December 17, 2016, at 10:00am, at Research Station, Mills River, NC. The donations will ensure that the children hit by the TN wildfires will have Christmas this year. Ages for the toys will be 3-12. Location for drop off is the Cleveland County Sheriff's Office. Deadline for drop off is Friday, December 16, 2016 to ensure they will be delivered on the December 17, 2016. Please join them on Friday, December 16, 2016 as they light the way in Uptown Shelby. For each contribution of $10, a luminary will be placed on the Court Square in uptown Shelby. Each luminary will be labeled with the name of the individual to be remembered. A special military luminary is also available. Forms can be found on our website at www.hospicecares.cc and must be turned in no later than December 9, 2016. Proceeds support the general operations of Hospice Cleveland County. Post-Polio Support Group, Shelby
The Foothills Post- Polio Support Group, will hold their meeting on Monday, December 19, 2016 at 6:00pm at the conference room of the Life Enrichment Center of Shelby. The conference room is located at the back of the building. The center is located off Hwy. 18 North on Life Enrichment Blvd, just north of Cornerstone Dentistry. We will have a Christmas social, with special music. Each person should bring a covered dish. Drinks- coffee and water - will be provided. If you are a polio survivor and would like to attend, we would love to see you there! Feel free to bring a caregiver with you. Dates to remember for Lincoln County Parks & Recreation: Winter Break Camp Registration. They will be holding Winter Break camp for kindergarten - 5th graders! Camp will be held at East Lincoln Community Center in Denver, NC on Wednesday-Friday December 21-23, 2016, and Tuesday-Friday December 27-30, 2016. Activities include arts and crafts, games and guest speakers. The Women's Volleyball Team Registration (age 21 and up) Volleyball League will be held this winter at East Community Center in Denver, NC. Games will be played on Sundays beginning January 8, 2017. The fee to play is $250 per team (teams can have 6-12 members) with all team information due by Friday, December 30, 2016.
